Newcastle co-captain Jamie Buhrer will be given until the end of the week to prove his fitness after being selected in the Knights' side to face Canberra despite taking a heavy knock in the first week of the season.
Knights coach Nathan Brown has named the same 17 that defeated Manly Warringah Sea Eagles in a thrilling round one encounter, with the only concern over the interchange player.
"Jamie Buhrer is carrying a bit of a knock and how doubtful he is we will probably know more tomorrow," Brown said.
"We named him because we certainly think he's a genuine chance of playing.
"So, I'd say JB is the one that's most in some sort of doubt.
"He got through some training today but how he pulls up tomorrow will probably determine that."

away Team
Knights

Venue: GIO Stadium, Canberra
It has always been a hard road trip down to the national capital for the Knights. The Knights have only recorded five wins since 1988 at Canberra Stadium.
Brown admitted he is still tweaking the game plan each week with the squad he named. He believes the way he rotated Brock Lamb off the bench against the Sea Eagles may need some adjustment moving forward.
"I am not sure if we got it perfect when we used him," Brown said.
"Just because we won the game I don't think that highlights if we did or we didn't.
Coaches Corner - Hunt & Pearce
"He was certainly good when he was out there and Connor (Watson) did well when he was out there as he is a very different player.
"I think Brock and Connor on the field and other guys on there together certainly seems to make a formidable team."
Forward Aidan Guerra understands that it is not going to get easier in Canberra and said the side must step up a gear.
"Canberra have a big forward pack and they're powerful guys," Guerra said.
"They play off their back five and their forwards will try and just kick down our front door.
"We just have to step up and meet their enthusiasm and meet their power.
"I think it is going to be a good challenge."
