Queensland's State of Origin Captains will be honoured during a special pre-match tribute ahead of Holden State of Origin III at Suncorp Stadium on Wednesday, July 11.
Cameron Smith, who has retired from Representative matches, will be farewelled as part of a tribute which will also feature former Maroons Captains including Wally Lewis, Mal Meninga, Allan Langer and Darren Lockyer.
The pre-match tribute will also feature a performance by Queensland's own Amy Shark, whose performance will accompany the celebration of Queensland's former Captains.
The night will also include a tribute to Maroons fullback Billy Slater, who will be Queensland Captain for his final State of Origin match.
"Cameron and Billy have been two of Queensland's greatest players and have been a key part of their successful dynasty," NRL Chief Commercial Officer Andrew Abdo said.
"They have created history together and we want to provide both players a fitting tribute and give Queenslanders and all fans of the game the chance to farewell their heroes.
"It will be great to have homegrown Queensland artist Amy Shark perform for this special occasion."
Amy Shark, the Gold coast singer/songwriter who will release her highly anticipated debut record, Love Monster, on July 13, was thrilled to be performing during this special celebration.
"I've watched Origin since I was in primary school so playing Suncorp Stadium for Origin Three is going to be incredibly special for me," she said.
"My Mum and Dad are going to be extremely happy."
Supporters can travel free to and from Suncorp Stadium on Queensland Rail and Brisbane Transport buses. Services will be available from midday until midnight.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early in order to catch the Queensland Under-20s against the NSW Under-20s, as well as the pre-game entertainment.
