The Blues players sweated it out at the PCYC at Woolloomoolloo.

Take a look at the notable stats for the NSW Blues and Queensland Maroons heading into the third game of the 2018 State of Origin series.

1 – Number of current NSW players who were involved in the Blues' last Origin series win in 2014 (skipper Boyd Cordner).

9 – Tries scored by Dane Gagai, in nine Origin appearances.

12 – NSW players to make their Origin debuts so far in 2018 (Tom Trbojevic, Latrell Mitchell, James Roberts, Josh Addo-Carr, Nathan Cleary, Damien Cook, Paul Vaughan, Jack de Belin, Angus Crichton, Tyrone Peachey, Reagan Campbell-Gillard, Matt Prior).

13 – Number of Queensland-based players who have represented NSW in State of Origin. Broncos centre Chris Johns was the first, in 1989; Broncos centre James Roberts is the latest.

14 – Points scored by Valentine Holmes in 2018, the most by any player this series. Holmes also leads all players for run metres, with 448.

20 – Number of times Maroons coach Kevin Walters represented Queensland as a player.

22 – Tackle breaks made by James Tedesco across the opening two games of the series. NSW centre Latrell Mitchell (17) and winger Josh Addo-Carr (16) are next best.

26 – Total points scored by NSW in the 2014 series, the Blues' only other series win since 2005. This year's Blues have scored 40 points in two games.

31 – Number of games Billy Slater will finish on after Origin III. That ranks him ninth overall, level with Wally Lewis and NSW's most-capped player, Brad Fittler.

33 – Times Queensland have prevailed at Suncorp Stadium. They have lost 18, with one draw.

56 – Support runs made by Nathan Cleary in Origin I and II. James Tedesco is the next best with 39.

99 – Tackles made by Andrew McCullough this series.

139 – Post-contact metres made by Greg Inglis in the first two games of 2018, the most of any player.

193cm – Average height of the Blues' three starting middle forwards in Origin III (David Klemmer 198cm, Paul Vaughan 193cm, Jack de Belin 188cm). Their Queensland counterparts Jai Arrow, Josh Papalii and Josh McGuire average 183cm.
