In further good news for the club following Sunday's outstanding performance against the Warriors, TFH Gold Coast Titans winger Anthony Don has today agreed to terms for a further two years, ensuring he remains a Titan through until the end of season 2020.
The 30-year-old fan favourite has been one of the Titans most consistent performers since debuting in Round 6 of season 2013 and has gone on to make 106 appearances at NRL level, scoring 63 tries.
Don had a year to remember in 2017 where he represented Country Origin for the first time and also took out the club's Paul Broughton Medal for 'Player of the Year'.
Whilst there has been speculation surrounding the future of the Grafton Ghosts junior after receiving more lucrative offers from other clubs, Don's priority was to remain a Titan where he can see a bright future.
"I love this club and the Gold Coast," Don said. "They gave me a chance as a 25-year-old and it's been great to represent my local region at NRL level.
"I've enjoyed every minute with the Titans. We've got a great bunch of guys here and after performances like last weekend, I know we have the potential to do something special over the next few years."
Head Coach Garth Brennan is pleased Don has chosen to stay with the Titans.
"I've said before how much Anthony means to this football club," he said. "He is Mr. Reliable on that right wing and we all know that each week he will go out there and do his job for the team.
"He is someone the members and fans love and he's a player that I enjoy coaching. You always know what you're going to get, and I can trust him to play his role."
CEO Graham Annesley knows exactly what Don means to the Titans.
"Anthony is not only an outstanding winger but he is one of the most genuine people you'll ever meet," Annesley said. "He not only does outstanding work on the field, he also makes a huge contribution off the field giving back to the local community and his home town of Grafton.
"It's great news for the club that Anthony has decided to remain a Titan for a further two years."
