Wayne Bennett has endorsed pre-Second World War players being considered for Immortal status for the first time as the Broncos coach also gave a strong hint Dragons legend Norm Provan figured prominently when he cast his own vote on the prestigious award in Sydney on Tuesday.

Two new Immortals will be revealed by the NRL on Wednesday night after a 10-man judging panel allocated points on a three, two and one basis to their top three players from a 10-man shortlist.
