Jamie Soward and Craig Wing have supported calls for NRL clubs to open their doors to the media.

Josh Dugan sparked the debate when he choked up at a press conference this week – saying he was an easy target. He said when it came to him, negative stories were always prioritised over positive news.

Wing told the NRL Podcast it's time to wind back the clock and allow journalists into the dressing rooms straight after a game.

Soward agreed, saying this would help build relationships and in turn make players feel more comfortable talking to journalists.

The pair also discussed Tyrone Peachey's desire to go back on his Gold Coast Titans deal, Latrell Mitchell's suspension and whether weighting for finals should be the same for regular season matches.
