Stat Attack: Bulldogs happy to complete but unable to capitalise

The Bulldogs have no issues getting the ball up the field as they lead the NRL for set completion, but the inability to create try-scoring opportunities off the end of those sets has cost Dean Pay's men dearly.

The Bulldogs also have the fewest errors (14) against their name after two rounds, which has contributed to their 83% competition rate. 

Discipline has also been a strong point, with only six penalties conceded, the second least in the competition behind Parramatta (5).

The problems are coming for Canterbury when the opposition has the ball and starts to build pressure.

Pay's men have missed 74 missed in two matches – the most in the competition.

Those 74 misses have come back to bite the Bulldogs as they have leaked 76 points (40 to the Warriors and 36 to the Tigers).

Unhappy with the 40-6 belting from the Warriors and 36-16 loss to the Eels, Pay made significant changes to his round three line-up to face the Wests Tigers on Sunday with Nick Meaney taking over the fullback spot, Will Hopoate moving to the centres and back-rower Corey Harawira-Naera and winger Jayden Okunbor being promoted to start.

Rhyse Martin, Chris Smith and Ofahiki Ogden have gained a spot on the bench.
