Broncos forward David Fifita has been awarded the captaincy of the Junior Kangaroos after a breakout NRL season with Brisbane.
The 19-year-old second-rower, who played in all three State of Origin matches for Queensland this year and scored seven tries in 24 NRL matches, was selected to lead a star-studded under-23 line-up featuring the likes of Kalyn Ponga, Angus Crichton, Victory Radley and Ryan Papenhuyzen.
