Neither the Dragons or Warriors can make the grand final after consecutive defeats, but they'll both be desperate to finish their campaigns with a victory.

St George Illawarra provided glimpses of their class as they threatened a comeback against the champion Broncos last Saturday but ultimately went down 18-4 and copped injuries in the process.

The Warriors showed promise in round one but regressed slightly in a 22-12 defeat to the Roosters after which coach Brad Donald admitted it's been challenging to get the new-look team to click.
