Players in the Telstra Women's Premiership muscled up to show their defensive prowess this season and the best hit of the lot according to the fans was Warrior Ellia Green jamming in off her wing to stop Dragon Jess Sergis in her tracks.

In her first season of NRLW after coming across from rugby sevens, Green made a huge impression in attack and defence and can now lay claim to the Youi Tackle of the Year award.

Green had two nominations in the six finalists, with her hit on Brisbane centre Jayme Fressard also attracting plenty of votes.

The candidates were:

  • A - Ellia Green v Broncos
  • B - Hannah Southwell v Dragons
  • C - Tamika Upton v Roosters
  • D - Georgia Hale v Roosters
  • E - Ellia Green v Dragons
  • F - Hannah Southwell v Dragons
