The Dolphins were dealt a huge blow in Friday night's loss to the Broncos with fullback Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow suffering a hamstring injury.

The Kangaroos representative left the field in the 22nd minute after chasing down Brisbane winger Corey Oates, with both players not realising a penalty had been blown at the other end of the field.

"He's had a history with hamstrings but hasn't had one for a couple of years he told me," coach Wayne Bennett said post-match.

"It'll be three or four weeks at least I've got to assume."

Bennett also said star forward Tom Flegler is unlikely to return for next week's clash with the Eels after he was a late withdrawal to Friday's match, succumbing to a shoulder injury sustained in Round 5.

Centre Herbie Farnworth also missed the game against his former side after being ruled out for at least a month after scans revealed the extent of the shoulder injury he suffered while attempting to save a try against Wests Tigers.

Veteran forward Felise Kaufusi (hamstring) is also on the Doiphins' casualty list.

Oates goes for a run...

Earlier on Friday, the Storm were dealt a blow when Tui Kamikamica suffered a calf injury in the fourth minute of the match against the Bulldogs.

The Fijian forward had just one run before being ruled out for the remainder of the match.

Knights fullback Kalyn Ponga defied the pain of a hip injury to play the full 80 minutes at McDonald Jones Stadium on Thursday night.

Ponga suffered the injury trying to stop Daniel Tupou from scoring in the corner in the 17th minute and looked to be in severe discomfort for the rest of the first half.

He returned after the break and looked to be moving a lot more freely, coming up with some big plays as the Knights tried to pull the game out of the fire.

"A few needles at half-time definitely helped. It shouldn’t be too bad, I think I just banged my hip. I was never going to come off myself," Ponga told Channel Nine post-match.

The Roosters lost back-rower Sitili Tupouniua in the second half of the game in Newcastle after he failed a HIA.

Wests Tigers are without John Bateman (concussion), Samuela Fainu (concussion) and Latu Fainu (hamstring) for Sunday's game against the Dragons.

Meanwhile, Manly will be without forward Nathan Brown for their clash with the Warriors on Saturday with the 31-year-old succumbing to a knee injury he suffered in last week's win over Penrith.

The Raiders will be without two key players for up eight weeks, following confirmation of injuries picked up by Jordan Rapana and Corey Horsburgh in Round 5.

Despite bravely returning for the second half of his side's win over the Eels last Sunday, scans have revealed Rapana suffered a meniscus tear which will require surgery and sideline him for six to eight weeks.

for forward Horsburgh, who suffered a groin injury that restricted him to just 25 minutes against Parramatta.

The Titans have named Kieran Foran despite an ankle injury ending his game after 27 minutes last week, while Des Hasler also welcomes back veteran forward Isaac Liu from time out under the concussion protocol.

Meanwhile scans have confirmed Cowboys centre Zac Laybutt suffered a torn ACL in the Round 5 win over the Gold Coast Titans.  and will be sidelined for the remainder of the 2024 season.

Rabbitohs half Lachlan Ilias suffered a fractured tibia playing NSW Cup on Saturday and underwent surgery the following day.
