Andrew McCullough to join 300 club

The National Rugby League (NRL) congratulates St George Illawarra hooker Andrew McCullough on reaching the 300-game milestone.

McCullough will this evening become the 44th player to join the exclusive Club, when he takes the field for the Dragons against South Sydney Rabbitohs at WIN Stadium.

NRL CEO Andrew Abdo will lead the traditional presentation of the 300-game match ball to celebrate the achievement.

“Andrew has been a key player for three Clubs since his debut for the Brisbane Broncos in 2008. He has since represented the Newcastle Knights and St George Illawarra Dragons.” Mr Abdo said.

“At all three Clubs, Andrew was a versatile and dependable player, with a high work rate on the field and positive demeanour off it. He has made 12,345 tackles in 299 games so far, which is testament to his high work rate. To produce performances like he has over the course of 15 seasons is a credit to his talent and temperament.

“On behalf of the rugby league community I congratulate Andrew on achieving this remarkable milestone and wish him well for the remainder of his career.”
