Eels skipper Clint Gutherson led the way in a round 24 dominated by WFBs, while a positive COVID test ruled out one of Fantasy's top players.

Round 24 Winners

The Eels had it all over Brisbane on Thursday night, and at the heart of it was their fullback Clint Gutherson who topped the round with a score of 94, which included 16 points from a pair of tries and 22 points from his six offloads.

Five points back was Newcastle centre Dane Gagai, who despite his side going down to the Titans managed to score 88 points, while Adam Doueihi also impressed in a losing side, registering his season-high score of 86.

While WFB options in Fantasy are often hit and miss, it was a big round for them with eight of the top 20 scoring players being WFB eligible.

Popular Fantasy players Isaiah Papali’i (76), Stephen Crichton (76), Jahrome Hughes (72), Taylan May (64) and Cameron Murray (63) didn't disappoint, while a couple of point of difference players owned by less than five percent of teams stood out too, led by Jaydn Su’a (78) and Shaun Lane (75).

Round 24 losers

It was a tough round for HOK options, with the positional leader Damien Cook being ruled out of the Rabbitohs v Cowboys match following a positive COVID-19 test. Owned by 15 percent of teams and averaging the third-most points in the season, his absence will have been a deciding factor in a number of Fantasy matchups.

Hookers failed to feature in the top 20 at all, with Tanah Boyd (HOK, HLF) the leader in that position with 61.

Broncos half Adam Reynolds meanwhile lasted just 13 minutes of his 250th game after failing a HIA on Thursday night and scored four points in Fantasy, while Warriors playmaker Shaun Johnson was also forced from the game at half time with 10 points.

The Adam Reynolds injury

It wasn’t a good week for Lindsay Collins owners either, with the prop now facing at least a month on the sidelines through suspension after being cited in Friday night’s match in which he scored just 15 points.

After averaging a whopping 69 points in his past five games, Cameron Munster was well off his usual form with 24 in the loss to the Roosters, stemming from collecting no dynamic attacking stats.

Eels hooker Reed Mahoney registered his third score under 35 in four games, managing just 25 in a 67-minute stint.
