The Sydney Roosters have today announced that the double-header featuring its NRL and NRLW sides on Friday, September 2 has sold out.
The Roosters will officially open the newly-built Allianz Stadium in what marks the Roosters’ return to its long-term home ground after four years of playing at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

Roosters CEO Joe Kelly said that since tickets went on sale in late June, Roosters Members and supporters had flocked to secure their tickets for the historic event.
“We are thrilled to announce a sell-out for the Roosters return home to Allianz Stadium,” said Mr Kelly.
“Roosters Members and supporters have shown their excitement for this historic event which will give them the first opportunity to experience our new world-class home, Allianz Stadium.
“In addition to getting to cheer on the Club’s NRLW and NRL sides, those fortunate to secure tickets will also be the first to enjoy the variety of food and beverage offerings within the Stadium,” he added.

The Sydney Roosters NRLW side will feature in the first-ever match to be played at Allianz Stadium when they take on the St George Illawarra Dragons at 5.40pm.
The Round 25 NRL fixture between the Roosters and South Sydney Rabbitohs will follow, with the match scheduled to kick off at 7.55pm.
The double-header will feature ARIA-winning Australian electronic music duo, The Presets, who will hype the crowd with some of their biggest hits before the NRL kicks off.
Gates will open at 5.00pm and for the first two hours, spectators can take advantage of a beverage offer which will see prices reduced by 49%.
