A special final edition of Lone Scout's Fantasy Q&A for 2022, looking over the top captaincy options for those playing in head-to-head Grand Finals in round 25.
Analysing the top captaincy options for round 25
Nicho Hynes
Pros: He has been the very best Fantasy player this season, with a 69.9 point average across the year and a last five game average of 73. He earns good base stats through run metres and kick metres, and against the Knights this week is a good chance of kicking plenty of goals and adding some try assists and line breaks to those numbers.
Cons: Comes off his worst score since round 12, but when that score is still 56 it's hardly a nightmare. Of more concern would be the prospect of the Sharks running up a score on the 13th-placed Knights and Hynes getting rested for the back end of the game ahead of the finals.

Cameron Murray
Pros: With just two scores under 50 all year, Murray has been a pretty safe bet in 2022 and among his last five games he has scores of 77, 94 and 80. He will likely have a busy day in the middle of the park against a quality Roosters side on Friday night, and with plenty on the line the Rabbitohs are likely to throw everything at their old foes.
Cons: His best games do rely on some dynamic attacking stats, and depending on how the game goes there is a good chance those opportunities won't be there. As a result it's going to be harder for Murray to hit his ceiling, compared to someone like Hynes.

Isaiah Papali'i
Pros: Faces the Storm this week who he has good Fantasy form against, averaging 70 across his last three games v Melbourne. He is a forward who can easily hit scores in the mid 70s, or even low 80s on his day, and knows his way to the try-line, with 10 four-pointers this season.
Cons: His scores are more volatile than Hynes and Murray, with some monster scoring games somewhat covering the fact that he has 10 scores under 60 this season. Papali'i has the most risk of these options, but if you need a point of difference in your match-up, is a good one to consider.
