Winger Taylan May been left out of the Panthers’ Grand Final squad after failing to overcome a hamstring injury, while the Eels have included injured centre Tom Opacic in their reserves and included Nathan Brown on their bench.
Opacic withdrew from last week's Preliminary Final against the Cowboys due to the hamstring injury he suffered in Finals Week 2, but did take part in running on Monday this week.
If he is declared fit, coach Brad Arthur will face a selection headache at centre after Bailey Simonsson, who is named to start there for now, performed well in Opacic's place last week.
Opacic helps himself to a double
Arthur has made an unforced change as well, dropping Bryce Cartwright off the bench in favour of Nathan Brown, who last played NRL back in round 17.
Their opponents meanwhile have named an unchanged side from that which got the job done against South Sydney, with Charlie Staines retaining his spot on the wing in May's absence.
Staines puts it down in the corner
May injured his hamstring in the opening round of the finals and sat out last week, and while coach Ivan Cleary believed he was a chance of playing in the decider, he's been left out of the 22-strong squad altogether.
Interchange forward Spencer Leniu is named after leaving the field for a HIA in last week's win over the Rabbitohs and is set to play.
