Boosted by the return of star halfback Nathan Cleary, the Panthers produced a dominant 44-18 victory over the Bulldogs to ensure they stayed on top of the NRL Power Rankings heading into Round 22.

Recording their fourth straight victory, Ivan Cleary's men have held on to top spot of the Power Rankings since Round 19, with Broncos sitting close behind in second.

The big movers in Round 21 were the Roosters who climbed four places to 10th on the back of an impressive 36-18 victory over the Titans - their first win since Round 16.

Trent Robinson's men now head into a huge Thursday night clash against Brisbane, who sit second on the rankings.

Meanwhile, the Warriors moved into the top three, thanks to Shaun Johnson's golden point heroics against the Raiders.

Andrew Webster's side now sit third in the Power Rankings, the same position as their competition ladder standing.

In stark contrast, Canberra dropped three places into sixth position after the narrow defeat in Auckland.

The Raiders now face the Knights, who they sit one place ahead of in the rankings and five places on the ladder, in what shapes as one of the games of the round.

Frantic Finishes: Round 21

The Rabbitohs also took a hit in Round 21, crashing down four places to 13th in the rankings after being outplayed by the Broncos last Friday on the Sunshine Coast.

The disappointing loss also put Jason Demetriou's side outside the eight on the NRL ladder after they were leading the competition in Round 11.
