Brisbane will be looking to bounce back this week against the Raiders after suffering a last-gasp loss last week where they let Newcastle steal a late win.

The Broncos were in control of the game for much of the match, but just couldn't shake the tenacious and talented Knights, with a late try and match-winning conversion from Jesse Southwell in the 69th minute handing the visitors their third loss of the season.

Canberra however held on against Parramatta last round to win their fourth game of the season, allowing the newcomers to maintain pace with the leading group on eight points and hold their place in the top four.

The Raiders scored 18 unanswered points through the first 20 minutes to set up the win, but were nearly made to pay for clocking off too early against the Eels who fought back in the second half.

Team News

Broncos: The Broncos remain unchanged an hour from kick off. Star back Julia Robinson has been named to make her return from a hamstring injury and slots straight onto the wing. Ashleigh Werner suffered a head knock in the first half of the match against the Knights and is out this week. Tafito Lafaele (hand) will make her NRL debut from the bench. Other ins for the home side this week see Brianna Clark (prop) and Jasmine Fogavini (interchange) return from suspension.

Raiders: The Raiders have made plenty of changes one hour from kick-off. Mackenzie Wiki is back from a foot injury, but has now switched to wing with Shakiah Tungai now at fullback with Apii Nicholls (foot injury) out. Centre Alanna Drummett is also out and there is plenty of swapping in the backline with Jessica Gentle moving from centre to wing for her Raiders debut. Grace Kemp and Hollie-Mae Dodd have both been named in the starting side this week, Kerehitina Matua will now start, while Tara Reinke stays on the bench. Ua Ravu and Elise Smith are now out and Eloise Ryan and Petesa Lio are both on the bench for their NRLW debuts. Forward Monalisa Soliola lasted just eight minutes in the match against the Eels and won't play this week due to an ankle injury. Emma Barnes (jaw) remains in the casualty ward.
