Sharks: No further changes after star halfback Nicho Hynes was ruled out due to a minor quadriceps injury on Thursday. Daniel Atkinson will replace Hynes at halfback. William Kennedy will play his first game since Round 22 last year when injury ruled him out for the remainder of the season. He is part of a full-strength backline which includes Jesse Ramien and Ronaldo Mulitalo this week. Braydon Trindall returns to club duties after steering the Indigenous All Stars to victory last Friday in Townsville.

Bulldogs: No late changes for Cameron Ciraldo's side. Stephen Crichton gets his first run as a Bulldog but will start at centre rather than fullback, with Blake Taaffe again the No.1. Viliame Kikau also comes in for his first game of 2024, joining Jacob Preston in the back row. Jaeman Salmon starts at lock with Josh Curran in the reserves. Will Warbrick, Xavier Coates and Nick Meaney return to a backline which again has Ryan Papenhuyzen at fullback. Tui Kamikamica will start at prop run out in front of his home fans in Fiji. Knights: The Knights will take the field as named. Jayden Brailey won’t be risked as he works to overcome a hamstring injury. In his place Kalyn Ponga will captain the side from fullback, with Enari Tuala getting a crack at taking over the wing spot made vacant by Dom Young’s departure. Jackson Hastings and Tyson Gamble will start together in the halves, with Jack Cogger likely to come on and play alongside both at some stage.

Warriors: No changes for the home side. Shaun Johnson returns after suffering a pre-season ankle injury which saw him miss some time at training and will partner Luke Metcalf for at least the first stint, with Te Maire Martin in the wider reserves. Taine Tuaupiki gets another run at fullback as he prepares to potentially play there in Round 1, with Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad (hamstring) racing the clock to be fit. Dallin Watene-Zelezniak is also back from injury on the wing. Kurt Capewell will make his first appearance for the Warriors alongside Jackson Ford, who backs up after being used in last Sunday’s clash with Wests Tigers.

Dolphins: Several changes for the visitors with Kodi Nikorima joining the starting side at five-eighth while Isaiya Katoa shifts to the bench. Jake Averillo also joins the run-on team at centre with fellow recruit Herbie Farnworth shifting back to the reserves. Felise Kaufusi and Tom Gilbert have reverted to the bench on game day, making room for Connelly Lemuelu and Ray Stone in the starting forward pack. Captain Jesse Bromwich comes in for his first run of the year while Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow starts at fullback, but he and centre Herbie Farnworth could switch at times throughout the match.

Titans: Kieran Foran dropped out of the side on Saturday due to a calf complaint, so youngster Tom Weaver gets another run in the halves, while centre Brian Kelly came out of the side due to a virus earlier in the week and is replaced in the starting side by Harley Smith-Shields with Aaron Schoupp added to the bench. Jacob Alick is good to go after missing the All Stars game with an ankle injury and he has been promoted to the starting side with Klese Haas going to the bench. Des Hasler rolls out the big guns this week with Tino Fa'asuamaleaui, Tanah Boyd, AJ Brimson and Moeaki Fotuaika all having their first run of the season. David Fifita (pec) and Jayden Campbell (knee) remain sidelined as they look to be right for Round 1.

Eels: No late changes, with skipper Clint Gutherson good to go after recovering from a knee injury. He leads a star-studded backline that includes Mitch Moses, Dylan Brown and Maika Sivo. Big men Reagan Campbell-Gillard and Junior Paulo get their first run for the season while J'maine Hopgood returns from Indigenous All Stars duty in the back row.
