As he rocketed up the trade-in chart ahead of Magic Round to sit in almost a third of all teams, David Armstrong celebrated with a three-try showing that saw him top the week in Fantasy with 87 points.

With all of the major captaincy options also performing well, plenty of teams ended up going over 1000 points for the round, while it was a comparatively calm week on the injury front for Fantasy-relevant players after the recent chaos.

NRL Fantasy by the numbers: Round 11

Expectation crushers

$524k HLF Jayden Sullivan has made the most of his opportunity to start for the Wests Tigers over the past fortnight and has performed well beyond expectations in Fantasy. With scores of 68 and 80 over the past two games, in which he's stood in for the suspended Aidan Sezer, along with a 39 in Round 6, Sullivan has averaged almost 33 points more than his projected score for a three-game period.

Others performing well above their projections over their past three games are Panthers EDG Luke Garner, whose exceeding his projected score by an average of 28.3 over that period, and Raiders DPP Kaeo Weekes (23.3 above projected).

Roosters flyer Dominic Young has been a major winner too after being projected to average 40 over his past three games but instead running with an average score of 64.7.

Kaeo's unlikely cash run

Through the first two seasons of his NRL career Kaeo Weekes was a terrible Fantasy player who averaged 14 points per season. Some of that was down to coming off the bench in limited-minute roles, but he also had five starts in there and showed very little promise in terms of gathering big stats.

But now at the Raiders and standing in for Jamal Fogarty at halfback, he's on track to be one of the biggest money makers of 2024 and will go up $70k in value this week if he hits his projected score of 46 against the Roosters, with the chance to make well over $100k by the time the Raiders hit their next bye in Round 14.

He's got a break even of -16 and Fogarty isn't due back until Round 20, so it's not too late to get Weekes and still make some money.
