NRL history sealed with grand slam of home game sellouts

The One New Zealand Warriors have become the first club in NRL history to complete a grand slam of sold-out home games in a season.

With the last few remaining tickets sold for the final two matches against Parramatta and Canterbury Bankstown, the Warriors have completed a perfect record of selling out all 10 games at Go Media Stadium this year plus their home against Canberra in Christchurch.

Not only a first for an NRL club, it’s also thought to be a first for a New Zealand sporting franchise.

“It’s an unbelievable achievement and one we’re very proud of,” said One New Zealand Warriors CEO Cameron George.

Most of all this is a tribute to our members and fans who have been behind the team and the club all the way. They’re the heroes here, simply the best fans there are

“Most of all this is a tribute to our members and fans who have been behind the team and the club all the way. They’re the heroes here, simply the best fans there are.”

This Friday night’s match against the Eels officially sold out this morning while the final few tickets for the Canterbury Bankstown encounter were picked up yesterday almost four weeks before game day on August 23.

“It’s a fantastic effort to sell out every game this season” said One New Zealand Warriors captain Tohu Harris.

“As players we can’t say enough about what our fans mean to us when we run out to a packed house at home game after game.

“We’re so grateful to them and how loyal they are. The atmosphere they create is the best in the NRL. Nothing beats playing at Go Media Stadium.”

With all tickets now gone for the matches against the Eels and Bulldogs, the One New Zealand Warriors have sold out a total of 14 home games this year including their trials in Christchurch and in Auckland.

Across the 2023 and 2024 seasons, it means 20 of the Warriors’ 25 NRL home games have been sold out.
