A two-try haul in last week's win against the Raiders has seen Broncos winger Julia Robinson race her way to a share of the NRLW leading try-scorers tally, with four so far this season.

As well as scoring spectacular tries - including a 90 metre intercept and an acrobatic dive last round - Robinson has been in good form overall for her side, with 853 run metres and 21 tackle breaks in her opening four matches, with the representative star saying she has come into this year's NRLW campaign feeling strong.

“I'm feeling good, I'm feeling strong this year, so I think I just had to be confident (coming into this season)," Robinson said.

"I was a little bit worried at the start of the season, I have put on bit of size and weight. so I was hopeful my fitness and my speed was still there.

“But I'm happy because I feel strong, so I hopefully can just keep performing well for girls.”

Robinson soars in for two

Robinson - who has won three premierships with the Broncos, four State of Origin series for Queensland and a Rugby League World Cup with Australia - is no stranger when it comes to finding the try-line, scoring five tries in six games last season.

With the Broncos having notched up two wins at home in the past two weeks, their upcoming challenge this round is to take on the Wests Tigers at Leichhardt Oval on Sunday, with Robinson full of confidence heading into the match.

“I think having the two wins now we've got a lot more confidence, but we still just have to play our game. Keep it simple,” Robinson said.

“I think (coach Scott) Prince's game plan is just simple for me. Just do that, complete our sets and we will be good”.

Teammate Jada Ferguson also about Brisbane's recent boost in confidence, but also highlighting that the team must head into the match against the as yet winless Tigers prepared to defend well.

“We definitely can’t take them lightly (Wests Tigers) we are going to Leichhardt, to Sydney, so that’s their home ground, which everyone plays unreal at their home stadium,” Ferguson said.

“They’re going to put on a show for us and we have to be prepared as well as we can and that’s what we will do this week at training.

“They have a really strong forward pack, so we are going to have to stop them there”.

Much like Robinson, Ferguson believes that if they can stick to the basics and complete their sets, they will continue to win games this season.

“We’ve really focused on our defence this year ... and just every session you know that’s been our main thing is defence,” Ferguson said.

“We do have a good attack and attacking players that can help us score points, but it all comes down to defence, so I just think making our one-on-ones and having less then 25 missed tackles is what we have to stick to.”
