In this week's grand final rematch, both teams come into the game off losses, with Newcastle no doubt smarting after they were overrun by Brisbane last week, while the Titans could not break down the defence of the Eels, despite dominating possession.

The Titans have lacked fluency in attack overall this season - in part due to a mixing and matching of combinations in the halves - but have also been unable to execute their attack as effectively as they would like when they have the ball.

Newcastle remain in the top four and have had a mixed bag of results so far, but have also had to contend with the early season loss of representative forward Caitlan Johnston-Green, which cannot be underestimated as much of their play would have relied on her big carries.

For the most part however, the Knights issue so far has been their inability to maintain their focus for the full 70 minutes, with stretches of great play let down by costly lapses.

Team News

Titans: No further changes on game day after Emily Bass was replaced on the wing on Friday by Georgia Sim, who makes her NRLW debut. With Lauren Brown sidelined by a broken hand, Lailani Montgomery comes into the halfback role. There is also a new centre pairing with Jaime Chapman back from a hamstring niggle and Taliah Fuimaono returning from suspension. Niall Williams-Guthrie is out with a lisfranc injury and last week's debutant Sarina Masaga moves to the bench. Hailee-Jay Ormond-Maunsell is 18th player.

Knights: The premiers line up 1-17 with no late changes. Nita Maynard has come onto the bench and Evie Jones reverts to 18th player.
