Women in League Round - Executive Mentoring Program

The Women In League Round Executive Mentoring Program will pair 20 high performing female employees (Club, State & NRL) with an executive mentor who will provide guidance, share valuable knowledge and insight, and offer the support needed to help them navigate and advance their careers.

The program will run from July – December 2024 with the intention of it repeating annually and playing a pivotal role in developing future female leaders and driving gender equity.

Mentee Criteria:

  • Professional level – currently hold a mid-senior level position within your organisation.
  • Performance and potential – consistent high performance and a track record of achieving goals, exhibits strong leadership potential and aspirations for career advancement.
  • Commitment – commitment to personal and professional development and willingness to actively participate in a regular mentoring program.

Program Overview:

  • Mentees will be matched with an executive mentor based on their career goals, areas of interest, and professional backgrounds. Mentors have been identified from Harvey Norman, the NRL and other key partners.
  • Mentees and mentors will have the opportunity to meet face-to-face during the WIL round (Tues 30th – Wed 31st July) and spend time networking and connecting with a variety of NRL, State and Club personnel.
  • Following this the mentee and mentor will meet 5 times (either via Teams or face-to-face) for personalised mentoring sessions focussing on gaining insight and knowledge in their area of interest, enhancing leadership skills, strategic thinking, and decision-making abilities.
  • Where possible mentees will be given the opportunity to attend meetings, workshops and other networking events alongside their mentor.
